This page contains solutions to problems that may arise when viewing the NYSE Arca Integrated Book.

Issues with Java
The most common problem for customers unable to view the Arca Web Book is issues with their Java Virtual Machine (JVM). Upgrading your computer's JVM to the most recent version is the best remedy. You can find the latest version from Sun Microsystem's download page (http://www.java.com/). Most customers have had success by using versions 1.4.2 and the new version 1.5. You can tell what version of Java you're running in Internet Explorer by:

Opening the Tools menu
Click on Internet Options
Click the Advanced tab
Scroll down until you see an item named Java (Sun) or Microsoft VM
See which checkboxes are checked on either or both of those items

Clearing Cache
Clearing out your cache may solve initial access problems you could be experiencing with any version of the Book.

Follow the steps below to clear out the cache in Internet Explorer:

In your browser window, click on Tools then select Internet Options
On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files section, click on Delete Files
When the Delete Files dialog displays, click OK
Back in the General tab, click Settings
When the Settings dialog displays, make sure that under Check for newer versions of stored pages, every visit to the page is checked. Click OK when finished

Turning Off Pop-Up Blockers
If you are unable to access the web book or you are not getting bid/ask quotes when entering a symbol this may be because you have your Popup blocker enabled. Please disable the Popup blocker or add the www.nysearca.com domain to the allowed white list. An example of pop-up blocking software is Google Toolbar. Popular browsers also have pop-up blocking functionality built-in; such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Opera.

Corporate LAN Firewalls Blocking Access
If you are unable to launch the web book from your workplace that may be due to your firm�s Corporate LAN Firewalls. Security rules differ from company to company so when accessing the Arca Web Book, please check with your network administrator to make sure they are not blocking access. Some proxy or content filtering software may inadvertently block access to the Book.

Can't Log In
To use Arca Web Book you must have cookies enabled on your browser. If our web site is not able to set a session cookie in your browser we will not be able to log you into the Web Book successfully. You can check whether your browser could be blocking one of our cookies in Internet Explorer using the following steps:

In your browser window, click on Tools
Select Internet Options
Click on the Privacy tab
If you�re privacy settings are set to High or Block All Cookies, you�ll have to change the settings to one which is below High in order to log in successfully

The colors provide users the ability to quickly distinguish between different price levels. Particular colors are arbitrary; the colors are intended to group price levels and the feature is unchangeable.
